Columbia Business School's entrepreneurs pitch for SoFi!

On Thursday 3rd November, CEO hosted our first SoFi Pitch Competition!  Thank you to everyone who came out to support and especially to SoFi for their sponsorship.

The team at SoFi, having reviewed numerous applications had selected 7 teams from Columbia to present on the night. Businesses in a wide range of industries were pitched from Veterinary Health to Retail, all at different stages of growth.  Each team was asked insightful questions by our panel of distinguished judges: our very own Professor Iyengar and from SoFi, Dan Macklin and Amanda Wood.

After a lot of deliberation, Spoonable Spirits (boozy puddings and jellies served in festive mini jars) was announced as the winner, awarded $2,000 and entry into SoFi’s Entrepreneur program. Spoonable Spirits  will go on to compete against the winning teams from other Top Schools to win the $5,000 grand prize

Thank you again to all the teams that participated; the SoFi judges were incredibly impressed with the quality of participants.
